FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does EXOS Wayfinder require cellular coverage or internet?
No. EXOS Wayfinder is built strictly for offline autonomy. All compass computations, waypoint bearings, coordinate conversions, and backtrack records run 100% on-device using local sensors and satellite GNSS fixes.
How does the app connect to the EXOS-GPS hardware puck?
The app natively supports two connection pipelines: wireless Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.2) and wired USB-C Serial (OTG). It automatically detects and parses high-frequency NMEA-0183 sentences ($GPRMC, $GPGGA, $GPGSV) at baud rates up to 115200.
How do I become a Google Play beta tester?
First, join our Google Group at groups.google.com/g/exos-gps-testers. Once joined, visit the opt-in page at play.google.com/apps/testing/com.exos.wayfinder and click "Become a Tester".
What coordinate systems are supported?
Wayfinder supports Military Grid Reference System (MGRS), Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS), and standard Decimal Degrees (DD WGS-84).
